Served in the military for 10 years and in the intelligence community for 6 years.Following service in the military worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as a mechanical engineer.Subsequently founded an emerging and frontier market technology firm in 1997 and grew the firm to over $130 million in annual sales.In 2006, recognized as CEO and founder of 5th fastest growing technology firm in all North America on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500. In 2008, was an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist. Founded the Small Equity Initiative, a global advocacy and services group to service and assist small and medium enterprises in emerging and frontier markets. Small Equity Initiative project experience includes work in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, China, Kenya, Mexico, Panama, Honduras, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Vietnam and Malaysia. Former United Nations Advisory Board Member and Board Member of Honduras Hope, an organization fostering economic development in Honduras. In recognition for national security contracting work with The U.S. Government, received The “Earl Warren Award” for outstanding public service to The U.S. Government.
